The short version
- Sinrix sets only the cookies it needs to work: keeping you signed in and protecting your sign-in.
- No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking across other sites.
- Because every cookie here is needed for the service, there is nothing to switch on or off.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognize you on the next page. Some are needed for a site to work; others track people for analytics or advertising. Sinrix uses only the first kind.
2. The cookies Sinrix sets
On a secure connection the sign-in cookies' names begin with "__Secure-", which tells your browser to send them only over HTTPS.
- Cookie
better-auth.session_token- What it does
- Keeps you signed in to sinrix.com.
- How long it lasts
- Seven days, renewed while you use Sinrix, and removed when you sign out
- Cookie
better-auth.dont_remember- What it does
- Remembers that you chose not to stay signed in.
- How long it lasts
- Until you close your browser
- Cookie
better-auth.oauth_state- What it does
- Protects a sign-in with Google from being forged, while you are on Google's page.
- How long it lasts
- Ten minutes
- Cookie
better-auth.admin_session- What it does
- Set only for a member of the Sinrix team during a support session, to return them to their own account.
- How long it lasts
- At most 60 minutes
- Cookie
sinrix_brand- What it does
- Remembers which of your brands you opened last, so the pages of the brand you are using reach the right one. It holds that brand's identifier and a signature, and is sent only on pages under sinrix.com/b.
- How long it lasts
- Until you close your browser
- Cookie
- A one-time cookie on connect.sinrix.com
- What it does
- Ties the connection of an app to the browser that started it, so no one else can finish it.
- How long it lasts
- 15 minutes, or until the connection is made
Your brand's own pages, under sinrix.com/b, set cookies of their own, named for the brand, to keep its people signed in to the brand. They work the same way and are needed for the same reason.
3. What we do not use
- No analytics cookies or scripts: we count blog post reads on our own server, without cookies and without identifying you.
- No advertising cookies, pixels or tracking across other sites.
- No cookies from other companies on sinrix.com. If you sign in with Google, Google's own cookies apply on Google's pages, under Google's policy.
4. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the ones above, you will not be able to sign in, because they are what keeps you signed in.
The site shows a short notice about these cookies until you choose "Got it". Your browser then keeps a note in its local storage that you have seen the notice, so it does not appear again. The note is not a cookie: it stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and holds nothing but that you have seen the notice. Clearing your browser's data for sinrix.com removes it, and the notice appears once more.
5. Changes and contact
If we ever add a cookie that is not needed for Sinrix to work, we will ask for your consent first and list it here. Questions: privacy@sinrix.com.
